After months of teasers, Nissan has finally unveiled the all-new Tekton—an affordable SUV with Patrol-inspired styling, city-friendly dimensions and serious ambitions. 👀

🚙 A Smaller Nissan Patrol?

The front design immediately grabs attention with its wide grille, connected LED lighting and muscular SUV stance.

Its strong resemblance to the flagship Nissan Patrol has already earned it the nickname “Baby Patrol.”

⚡ Two Turbocharged Engines

The entry-level Tekton uses a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 100 PS and 166 Nm of torque, with claimed fuel efficiency reaching 19.4 km/L.

A more powerful 1.3-litre turbocharged engine produces 163 PS and 280 Nm, paired with either a manual gearbox or a dual-clutch automatic transmission, depending on the variant.

🛡️ Safety Takes Centre Stage

The Tekton has achieved a five-star Bharat NCAP safety rating.

It comes with six airbags and more than 40 standard safety features, while higher variants offer over 17 driver-assistance technologies.

📱 Far from a Basic Interior

Available equipment includes:

✅ 10.1-inch infotainment display with Google Built-in
✅ 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster
✅ Panoramic sunroof
✅ Ventilated leather seats
✅ 3D around-view camera
✅ Cooled wireless smartphone charger

💰 The Price Surprise

The Nissan Tekton starts from INR 1.049 million before local charges in India, placing it directly against popular SUVs such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Renault Duster.

🇸🇦 Is Saudi Arabia Next?

Nissan has not confirmed a Saudi launch.

However, the Tekton has been developed as part of a wider growth and export strategy, leaving the door open for selected international markets.

The big question is:

Could the Tekton become the most affordable way to own an SUV with genuine Patrol character? 🔥
