Yet one image was enough to show that the next X-Trail will not be another minor update. It is being prepared as a new generation of one of the world’s best-known family SUVs. 🚙⚡
Nissan has released the first official glimpse of the all-new X-Trail / Rogue Hybrid e-POWER, combining a bolder design with a powertrain intended to deliver an electric driving feel without requiring a charging cable.
👀 This Is Not a Simple Facelift
The new front end appears lower and wider, with sharper lighting and a noticeably different character from the current X-Trail.
More importantly, Nissan describes it as all-new, indicating changes that extend beyond bumpers and headlamps into a new generation of design, engineering and technology.
⚡ Electric at the Wheels, Petrol for Generating Power
The SUV will use Nissan’s e-POWER system.
Electric motors drive the wheels, while a petrol engine generates electricity.
The intended result is smooth and immediate EV-like acceleration, combined with the freedom to complete longer journeys without searching for a charger.
🧠 Nissan Enters the Intelligent-Vehicle Era
The preview arrived as part of Nissan’s new strategy focused on software, artificial intelligence and more advanced driver-assistance technology.
However, Nissan has not yet confirmed which intelligent features will be offered specifically in the new X-Trail, making its cabin and technology package major unanswered questions ahead of the full reveal.

Nissan describes the Middle East as an important growth and profit market, but no official Saudi launch date has been announced for the new-generation X-Trail.
Power output, seating capacity, trim levels and pricing also remain under wraps.

Nissan is not preparing to update the X-Trail. It is preparing to introduce it again from the beginning.
