Volkswagen has now placed them inside a compact electric SUV with an announced entry price of approximately €28,000. ⚡🔥
The company has officially unveiled the all-new ID. Cross, with German advance sales beginning alongside its world premiere.
⚡ Fast Charging and Up to 427 Kilometres
The ID. Cross will be offered with 37-kWh and 52-kWh batteries, together with three power outputs reaching up to 211 hp.
The larger-battery version offers a WLTP range of up to 427 kilometres.
Charging from 10% to 80% takes approximately 23 to 24 minutes, depending on the battery version.
In simple terms:
A short break could be enough to send the vehicle back onto the road.
🚦 An SUV That Reacts to Red Traffic Lights
One of the most interesting technologies is Connected Travel Assist.
Within the system’s limits, it can recognise a red traffic light and automatically bring the vehicle to a stop.
Remote smartphone parking, a 360-degree camera system and one-pedal driving are also available.
🛋️ Massage Seats in a Compact SUV
Optional equipment includes electrically adjustable 12-way front seats with a massage function, a Harman Kardon sound system, a large panoramic roof and adaptive DCC suspension for the most powerful version.
Cargo capacity reaches 475 litres, while a further 25-litre front compartment provides space for charging cables and smaller items.
💶 The Price Is the Biggest Strike
Volkswagen has announced an entry price of €27,995 for the base version.
Higher Life and Style versions with the 211-hp motor and 52-kWh battery are the first models available for advance ordering.
Volkswagen’s message is clear:
It wants to offer electric-SUV pricing closer to conventional cars while introducing equipment previously associated with more expensive classes.

Volkswagen has not yet confirmed a Saudi or Gulf launch date for the ID. Cross.
