Twenty-five years after the HUMMER name became one of the automotive world’s most recognizable symbols of strength and road presence, GMC is celebrating the milestone in a fittingly bold way.
The company has revealed the limited-run 2027 GMC HUMMER EV ICON | 25, bringing back the famous yellow color associated with the HUMMER H2 while offering up to 1,160 horsepower in its most powerful configuration. ⚡🔥
🟡 The Iconic Yellow Returns
The special edition is finished in a new exterior color called ICON, inspired by the distinctive yellow paint that helped define the HUMMER H2 in the early 2000s.
The bold exterior is complemented by a black front approach shield and a new Jet Black interior, while exclusive drive-mode graphics pay tribute to earlier HUMMER models.
Each vehicle also receives serialized instrument-panel badging and an exclusive commemorative keepsake, highlighting the limited-production nature of the edition.
🚙 Available as a Pickup and SUV
The ICON | 25 edition will be offered on both the GMC HUMMER EV Pickup and SUV, across the 2X and 3X trim levels.
This allows customers to choose between the utility of the pickup and the enclosed practicality of the SUV while retaining the edition’s exclusive color and design details.
⚡ Up to 1,160 Horsepower
In its most powerful 3X Pickup configuration, equipped with the optional 24-module battery pack, the 2027 GMC HUMMER EV delivers up to 1,160 horsepower.
GMC estimates that it can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in as little as 2.8 seconds, with a claimed 13,000 lb-ft of wheel torque.
Those figures place the HUMMER EV in a category far beyond conventional off-road vehicles, combining supertruck size with supercar acceleration.
🦀 Built for Extreme Terrain
The 2027 HUMMER EV retains its signature off-road technologies, including four-wheel steering with CrabWalk, which allows the vehicle to move diagonally in specific situations.
Available equipment also includes King Crab, adaptive air suspension and Extract Mode, which can raise the vehicle by approximately six inches to help clear difficult obstacles.
Other available features include the removable-panel Infinity Roof, Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance and up to 18 camera views on the Pickup.
🔌 An EV That Can Help Power a Home
Every 2027 GMC HUMMER EV will feature a native North American Charging Standard inlet.
Vehicle-to-home bidirectional charging will also remain available, allowing a compatible HUMMER EV to help provide electricity to a properly equipped home during an outage when used with the required GM Energy equipment.
🇸🇦 Will the ICON | 25 Come to Saudi Arabia?
Production of the 2027 GMC HUMMER EV and the limited ICON | 25 edition is scheduled to begin later this year, with confirmed sales in the United States and Canada.
GMC has not yet announced official pricing or confirmed availability for the Saudi market.
However, its historic yellow finish, limited production and performance of up to 1,160 horsepower could make the ICON | 25 one of the most collectible versions of the electric HUMMER.
