The new Hyundai Elantra takes a significant step forward with sharper styling, a roomier cabin, AI technology and a hybrid option. Hyundai unveiled the eighth-generation model as the Korean-market Avante at the Busan Mobility Show on June 26, 2026.

New Design and More Space

Hyundai’s “Art of Steel” design language introduces slim LED lighting and distinctive body lines. Overall length reaches 4,765 mm, while the 2,750 mm wheelbase grows by 30 mm over the previous generation, creating more room inside.

An Available 14.6-Inch Display and AI Assistance

The cabin features Pleos Connect, with a central touchscreen measuring up to 14.6 inches, depending on specification. The Gleo AI assistant supports natural-language interaction for information searches and vehicle functions, alongside over-the-air software updates.

Petrol and Hybrid Power

For Korea, Hyundai announced a 2.0-litre petrol engine producing 149 PS and a 1.6-litre hybrid delivering a combined 157 PS.

Available equipment, depending on trim, includes surround-view cameras and remote parking assistance, plus a system that assists reversing along a previously recorded path.

Saudi Pricing and Launch Date

The official sources reviewed did not confirm Saudi pricing or a local launch date for the new generation. These specifications apply to Korea; engines and equipment may differ when the vehicle is introduced to Gulf markets.

Buyers should verify the vehicle’s generation and actual specification, as a “2027 model” designation alone does not establish that it is the eighth-generation Elantra.

Nasir M Motors Company presents this overview of the new Elantra’s key developments, pending official confirmation of Saudi-market specifications and availability.
